Journey and Practice
ListenDaily has two ways to choose lessons. Same exercise, different doors.
What is Practice?
Practice is the open library. Pick any lesson that fits your level and interests, or take the one we recommend — it is chosen to fit your ear today. This is where most people spend their time.
What is the Journey?
The Journey is one fixed path. Lessons come in a set order, starting from the very first sounds of English, one level band at a time. You can find it at listendaily.app/journey.
Which should I use?
Use Practice if you want choice — topics you care about, at your level.
Use the Journey if you want one road and no decisions — start at lesson 1 and walk.
There is no wrong door. Minutes of listening are what train your ear, not the menu.
Does my progress count in both?
Your effort always counts. Daily time, your streak, and your daily goal grow wherever you practice. The free plan's 10 minutes a day apply everywhere too — see Free time and Pro.
Your level and accuracy are measured only in Practice. Practice serves lessons at your level, so it is fair evidence of what your ear can do. The Journey follows a fixed order instead, so a Journey lesson never moves your level or your accuracy — up or down. It trains your ear; it does not grade it.
